Education: Pontyberem CP School

What we did:

This project was a key part of the authority’s MEP programme within Carmarthenshire and involved the design, construction, remodelling, repair and complete refurbishment of the existing Pontyberem CP school premises whilst the school remained operational. The scheme design had on award reached RIBA stage 2 and we were responsible for progressing the design to RIBA stage 7. The works were completed across two phases. The project achieved the Considerate Constructor Beyond Compliance Certificate.

It’s great to see the children and staff at Ysgol Pontyberem have settled in to this totally refurbished school. There’s now plenty of room inside the school with great facilities and a spacious play area outside. It’s a school fitting for the 21st century. We have given a promise that we will do our best for education in Carmarthenshire and that is what we are doing under the Modernising Education programme.
